TheSchoolMatch helps families in Qatar discover and compare British and international schools. We provide information, comparison tools, and parent reviews for guidance only. School fees, admissions, inspection outcomes and other details can change; always confirm directly with the school before making a decision.

You agree to use TheSchoolMatch lawfully and not to misuse the platform, attempt to disrupt it, scrape it at scale, or submit false, misleading, or unlawful content. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

Reviews are written by parents to help other families. To keep them trustworthy and fair to schools, we operate the following policy.

How we collect reviews

• Reviews can only be submitted by a signed-in account, so each one is tied to a real, contactable person.
• We ask for structured ratings across categories (teaching, facilities, communication, pastoral care, extracurriculars and value for money) plus a written review of at least 50 words.
• To confirm the reviewer is a genuine current or past parent, we ask for the child’s year group and a proof-of-enrolment document — for example a term-fee payment receipt, a report card, a parent-portal screenshot, an official school email, a student ID, or a leaving/transfer certificate.
• Verification documents are stored privately, are visible only to our moderation team, are never shown publicly, and are handled in line with Qatar’s Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (Law No. 13 of 2016). We ask reviewers to redact fee amounts, ID numbers and their child’s full name before uploading.

How we moderate reviews

• Every review is checked by a person before it is published. Nothing appears automatically.
• Reviews must describe the reviewer’s own genuine, first-hand experience and be their honest opinion.
• We do not publish content that names or targets individual members of staff, or that alleges criminal conduct, abuse, fraud or other serious wrongdoing.
• We may lightly edit reviews for clarity, spelling or tone, or decline to publish a review, at our discretion.
• Reviewers confirm, when submitting, that their review is truthful and not intended to defame the school. Publishing false statements that harm a person’s or institution’s reputation can be unlawful in Qatar; reviewers are responsible for the accuracy of what they submit.

How reviews are shown

• We may show individual reviews and/or aggregated category averages summarising multiple reviews for a school.
• We never publish your contact details or your verification documents.

Schools’ right of reply

A school that believes a published review is inaccurate or unfair can contact us at our contact page. We will review credible complaints promptly and remove or amend content where appropriate.

From time to time we may offer a membership reward (for example a short period of full access) to parents who submit a genuine, verified review that is approved by our moderation team. Rewards are limited to one per parent, are non-transferable, have no cash value, and may be changed or withdrawn at any time. Submitting a review does not guarantee a reward; approval is at our discretion and depends on the review meeting this policy.

By submitting a review or other content, you grant TheSchoolMatch a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display, adapt and distribute that content in connection with the service. You confirm you have the right to grant this licence.

Information and reviews are provided “as is” for general guidance. We do not warrant that content is accurate, complete or current, and we are not liable for decisions made in reliance on it, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Qatari courts.
